Culture coalition urges Islanders to take part in culture strategy consultations
A coalition of PEI cultural organizations is encouraging islanders to take part in the community consultations being held as Government creates a provincial cultural strategy.
When it's completed this fall, the strategy will recommend direction for cultural policy in the province, and be a guide for developing action plans, programs, and supports for the next 10 years.
Those consultations will include an online survey, coffeehouse conversations, roundtable discussions, and a Facebook page.
The coalition of cultural organizations represents over 2,000 members working in arts, heritage and creative industries from one end of the Island to the other.
The coalition says strategic provincial investment is critical to allow PEI's arts, heritage and creative industries to be competitive.
